Ideas for Google Earth
These are some pictures that are to help me remember specific times which I want to put on my timeline. There is the idea of my dogs which is from when I lived in San Diego, my Grandfather to show my heritage which is from Central America, and the cute picture of me on a pony to show where I grew up in Los Angeles.
Sol Lewitt Response
14. The words of one artist to another may induce an idea chain, if they share the same
concept.
This is the 14th rule in the Sentences on Conceptual Art and it really seems like this makes the most sense to me because all art seems to stem from a previous art form. It also rationalizes that if artist are generally thinking the same sort of idea, the final project done individually will be different. The concept however may be spread by the "idea chain" through the artist pipeline. It is very relevant to the idea of conceptual art because all artist can have the same concept essentially but each individual project will be different.

Rough Draft of My Chance Project
Rough Draft
Lyrical Poetry- 2 Lines at a time
Cuz we Dodgers and Impalas with the windows tinted,
I duck shots where Venus and Sarena used to play tennis,
To be point blank with you motherfuck the game
I got all this work on me, I ain't come for play,
They say we ain't got the style
We ain't got the class,
Swear my times never cheap
I fake my life like Ive lived Too much,
I take whatever youre given,
Not enough,
There's no recollection
of the evil things I've done,
My head feels like I musta' had some fun,
And everything's spinning
You're beginin' to think women
We could have a hell of a night, through the day
She blamed it on the a-a-a-a-a-alcohol,
I'm just tryin' to be the great, tryin' to get a piece of cake
Take it offa your plate, eat it right in your face
They got a whole lot to say but I don't listen
Sticky situation in fact
Tryin not to let the feelings catch,
But, before you say another word,
I'm back on the block like a man on the street,
Well I'd do anything for a blonde-dike
And she'll do anything for the limelight
And we'll do anything when the time's right
Man I been in and outta trouble since an adolescents
Spoiled rotten, dead fresh, wit no daddy present,
I don't beg I can hold my own
I don't break I can hold the chrome
And this weighin' a ton and I'm a son of a gun
My code name is The Only One,
Damn I shouldn't start that talk,
but life is one big question when your starin at the clock.

Important African-Americans
Barack Obama, Tubman, Douglas, and various slaves are all placed around the Emancipation Proclamation. This is a sort of idea pathway that I am using to get to the final monument idea. I am basing this project idea on slavery in America and the importance of the humble African-American slaves who were crucial to the development of civil rights and liberties.

Ideas for placement of monument

Improbable Monument Proposal
My initial understanding of a monument is to create something that holds meaning to a particular event or understanding of a particular issue. I realize that in order for a monument to reach a broad audience it must be a controversial issue as well as an important historical issue. I am leaning towards designing a monument to Slavery or Slaves in America that I would love to place in the lawn of the White House. The monument would be to show the importance of African Americans in the history of America and how the initial American society was so judgmental. The first idea I had for a monument would be President Washington whipping a slave on the lawn of the White House. My other possible vision was of a chain-gang of slaves being put up for auction on the steps of the White House, how I imagine it must have been much like back in the day. I am aware that these monument ideas may seem racist or possibly just in bad taste but the fact is that this did happen and it is a part of each Americans history. The monument could also be aimed toward one particular slave or group of slaves. I really feel like the placement of the monument must be put in an official American political site such as the White House or various other Washington D.C. locations.

Culture Jamming
These are some images which I have used to help me visualize my project. I want to create an urban type environment using the Nike logo and catch-phrase. I have chosen various pictures which depict the type of mood I hope to capture in my finished product.
Rough Draft:
Nike uses the slogan, Every Damn Day Just Do It! I represented this idea with urban baseball. I thought the idea of a baseball swing in a destructive manner would still apply to this slogan. Nike doesn't suggest exactly what it is that should be done every day but it does suggest some sort of action to be taken. This is why I combined the idea of urban destruction with baseball and the slogan and logo. Every Damn Day Just Do It!

Hybrid Project
There was once a giant named Penant who lived in the woods. He had the body of a man, giant baby feet, marshmallow arms, and a larger than usual baby head. His best friend and pet was a full size midget named Carlos that he kept on a leash so he wouldn't run away. Carlos and Penant walked through the woods day and night because neither of them can ever sleep. They are never tired because they have to always be hunting for their next meal and if they stop to rest they might not wake up. Carlos was stolen by Penant from a nursery school about 15 years ago and Carlos has aged very well. Penant has not aged like normal people because his body appears to be older than his head or legs but he is only 136 years old.
